Chris received his undergraduate in Music Education from the University of Houston and his Master’s in Educational Administration from Lamar University.  He has been teaching in public education for twenty years.  He has served in many different capacities including band director at the middle school and high school level and at the administrative level as the Coordinator of Digital Learning, Coordinator of Fine Arts, and Instructional Technology Coach. 

Chris is currently an instructional technology coach where he assists teachers in the integration of technology, blended learinng, and digital learning in grades K-5.

Chris has been an active member of the Texas Music Educator’s Association and Texas Bandmasters Association, as well as the Texas Computer Educator’s Association.  

Chris has served in various roles throughout his career including department chair, a district-level mentor, a member of the District Leadership Team, an advisor on the Focus Assessment committee, leader of professional development, and  advisor for the district in the areas of testing, formative assessment, classroom management, new teacher training, curriculum development, and professional development. 

Chris works as a consultant for the College Board where he is a member of the Pre-AP National Faculty.  In this role he works with teachers across the nation delivering professional learning in the area of the Pre-AP framework and implementation into district-level curriculum.

Chris resides with his wife Amanda and three daughters Genevieve, Emilia, and Felicity.  He enjoys family time, cooking, swing dancing, hiking, and watching his daughters grow and learn.
